William represents physicians, medical professionals, hospitals, and healthcare organizations in civil and administrative proceedings across New York State. His practice is primarily focused on defending health care practitioners and institutions from professional liability claims, matters of regulatory review, and issues relative to hospital staffing and administration. SuperLawyers has named William a top-rated “Rising Star” in Medical Malpractice Defense from 2019 - 2022. Mr. Kalish is also a 2022 Fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
William is a lifelong resident of Rochester, New York, where he is actively involved in the community, and serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Rochester Community Transportation Foundation. He lives in the Browncroft Historic District of Rochester with his wife, Alyssa Belasco, and their dogs, Ollie and Max.
Prior to joining Brown, Gruttadaro, & Prato, William served as a volunteer with the Legal Aid Society of Rochester New York assisting clients with housing matters and organizing small businesses. William also interned for the legal department of Wegmans Food Markets in Rochester, New York.
