Mr. Ovejero received his B.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Oneonta in 1985 and his J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1991.  While attending law school, he served as an intern at the Federal District Court for the Western District of New York to the Honorable William M. Skretny.  After law school, Mr. Ovejero served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office.  

As an Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Ovejero’s assignments included: the Felony DWI Bureau, the Felony County Court Bureau, the Felony Firearms Bureau and the Special Investigations Bureau. Additionally, Mr. Ovejero served as a Community Prosecutor for the Monroe County District Attorney’s office wherein he became affiliated with the Domestic Violence Consortium and the Finger Lakes Restorative Justice Program. Additionally, for ten years, Mr. Ovejero served as the Department Chair of the Paralegal and Criminal Justice Programs at the Rochester Business Institute.
